At Mondaisa we are 100% committed to the environment, which is why we use different initiatives to contribute to the future we want for ourselves and the new generations.
SOLAR ENERGY
Installation of solar panels for our production plant and our offices. Thanks to this we achieve a reduction of approximately 2.2 tons of CO2 per year.
COMPOSTABLE MATERIALS
Our tea bags are made of compostable filter paper, that is, they can be composted.
BIODEGRADABLE AND OXIBIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS
Use of materials that degrade naturally in contact with the environment such as cotton yarn from tea bags and biodegradable ink.
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS
Packaging with recyclable materials such as cardboard boxes and paper wrappings. We also carry out a correct waste management in the company.
WE ARE ECOLOGIC BLUE FLAG
In Mondaisa we implemented new initiatives and eco-friendly practices to reduce the environmental impact and climate change in order to always bring something positive to the planet and future generations.
PAPER USE
Between 2020 and 2021 we reduced the use of paper, as we began to implement all records digitally and recycle all the material until we run out of stock. Thanks to this we managed to save 1.96 trees.
GOOD DRIVING TECHNIQUES
Our employees use route planning and good driving practices to reduce fuel consumption, reduce the greenhouse effect and improve driving safety.
GOOD WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT
We treat wastewater by means of the bio-gardening process (filtration process using materials such as stones, sand and soil). This prevents contaminated water from reaching the aquifers.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Our suppliers are also committed to the environment and help us with the return of their own waste once it has been used in our production plant.
WE SUPPORT WILDLIFE
Costa Rica has 5% of the world's biodiversity and that is why at Mondaisa we are committed to our Ecosystem. When you buy Mondaisa Tea you are helping the Zoave Wildlife Rescue Center, which is in charge of protecting and restoring wildlife in Costa Rica. Together we can be part of the change!
